The OrbitAssist App is a troubleshooting tool Orbit has built to help you with your network connectivity and your B-hyve device.
To run this test on your home network, You will need to first download the OrbitAssist app on your phone or tablet. We’ve linked the application in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store below. Please select the link that corresponds with the type of phone you have.
Once you’ve downloaded and installed the app, please follow the steps below.
Open the OrbitAssist app
Select the issue that you’re trying to resolve
Device Setup: If you’re encountering Wi-Fi issues during the setup of a new device
Device Performance: If your device no longer connects to your network
Wi-Fi Coverage: Verify Wi-Fi strength
Other: Something other than what is listed above
The App will choose the best method to help you diagnose your issue to get your Orbit device performing as expected
How do I use OrbitAssist to check Wi-Fi coverage/range?
Use OrbitAssist to determine if your backyard Wi-Fi supports B-hyve timers.
Steps to do so:
Stand next to your router and open OrbitAssist
Press Wi-Fi coverage when asked what you are having trouble with
Follow the on-screen instructions
The results will indicate if your Wi-Fi connection can support your B-hyve timers.
Green/Strongest signal: Your timer will work in this location
Yellow/Weak signal: Your timer will work but its connection could be improved
Red/Very weak signal: Your timer is likely to experience connection issues at this location
